I had to stop in the middle of the third episode
Story
It follows Catherine Ravenscroft, a documentary journalist whose job it is to expose the wrongdoings of long-respected institutions. Gary Oldman was originally rumored to get the role, but was replaced by Kevin Kline. This is one of the worst shows I have ever seen, not even Cate Blanchett could save it.
I can’t believe how many things went wrong
This is coming from someone who read the book while waiting for this show. I have to say that the book itself seemed very average to me. What is the sound quality and this terribly useless narration?
And that annoying transition!
Everything seems so wrong in this mess of a show. The ratings are definitely fake, this is by no means a 7 star series. The dialogues of the young actors are simply awkward.
One star for the cat
The whole show is just very boring. We know what happened from the beginning, unlike in the book if I remember correctly, so once the mystery is solved, we’re left with nothing. Too bad I was really looking forward to this.
