Story
It follows a seemingly ordinary family with a dark secret: they are vampires. They choose not to drink blood despite their natural desire, but their truth is revealed one day.
It starts out pretty simple, with a family that has a secret
I didn’t really know what to expect going into this movie, but the nearly two hour running time combined with the 5.0 rating seemed daunting. However, the film’s R-rating was at least a small light at the end of the tunnel.
I liked the characters, especially the father’s twin brother
Slowly but surely, it becomes harder and harder for them to keep that secret, and when their father’s twin brother shows up, things get even more out of control. He has unique relationships with almost every member of the family, and Damian Lewis did a great job portraying both characters with a nice contrast.
However, it is not completely boring
The film drags on a bit and not much happens. There are definitely logical flaws though, and the comedy aspects rarely work well.
The result is a fairly average film that doesn’t have much to offer, but is still watchable despite its long running time
