Story

When an 8-year-old girl disappears into Caddo Lake, a series of past deaths and disappearances begin to connect, changing the history of a broken family. Caddo Lake is one of the only natural lakes in Texas.

In a scene set in 2005, a character walks into a grocery store past a soda display with modern logos. I went in not knowing anything and I think it’s better if you do.

But it’s also hard to get over a very slow setup

For the first 1/4 of the movie nothing happens and it feels pretty boring… and even though stuff starts happening at that point, the movie doesn’t really get interesting until the halfway point.

But when it does, it’s worth it

I understand that the build up is necessary and necessary to make the rest of the movie work, but I still think they could have done it with a better pace; and if they had pulled it off I’d probably give this movie an 8/10. And for a movie with no big name actors, they all do a great job. Highly recommended!
